TrimJoist provides a full 3 ½" wide surface for the proper nailing and gluing of subfloor materials. By providing such a wide surface, TrimJoist allows the builder to use subfloor framing tolerances that will prevent squeaks. This surface also allows for the application of sufficient glue to make TrimJoist and the subfloor act as a truly unified system.
